The Escravos gas Plant is a two train gas processing plant. This position will have a Rrtational work schedule, typically 28 days on, 28 days off.

Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Senior Process Engineer (EGP) located in Escravos, Nigeria through January 2, 2013 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).

POSITION DETAILS:   
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Providing process engineering support for daily operations in the areas of process engineering and facilities troubleshooting, optimization and debottlenecking oil/gas facilities with an emphasis on the Escravos Gas Plant faculties and operations.
Participating in PHAs and close out action items or designing modifications to enhance process safety, and acting as a technical Functional Reviewer in the MOC process.
Supporting operational activities including commissioning of new equipment, providing key input for turnaround activities and to participate as team member for FE projects and provide consultation to Operations and Major Capital Projects in the assigned area.
Approving PFD, PID and process datasheets and other process documentation.
Acting as key participant in safety assessment reviews for MOC.
Directing simulation work and plans, setting up cases for evaluation.
Directing work on flow assurance and reliability studies.
Developing process startup procedures, operating instructions and operator training guides for new facilities.

Developing opportunities with sound basis and business case drivers and work with decision makers/project team members at early phases.
Providing consultation to Major Capital Projects.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of 5 years process engineering experience in the oil & gas industry, preferably in gas compression & processing facility including, treating, compression, heat exchange, LPG storage condensate processing, etc.
Minimum of 3 years process engineering experience supporting natural gas processing plants.
Must have strong knowledge of HySIS, PipePhase and other simulations tools.
Must have strong process engineering background, especially with gas processing facilities.
Experience with troubleshooting and resolving debottlencking process issues.
Must have good record of success with process control implementation and support.
Understands typical gas plant operations, process equipment design selection, and typical process dynamics.
Skilled at modifying complex/major equipment and facilities for debottlenecking.
Ability to effectively lead and communicate within a multi-discipline collaborative environment.

Dr. Irawo Adamolekun shot dead in Lagos traffic

Suspected armed robbers yesterday, shot a young doctor Irawo Adamolekun dead in Lagos.
According to several eyewitness accounts posted on Twitter, the unknown assailants approached the late Adamolekun in his car and demanded for money. When he refused to part with cash, he was shot in the head and he died instantly.
The suspect calmly crossed to the other side of the road, where he got on a motorcycle that was waiting for him and fled the scene. The incident happened in the Anthony Village area of Lagos.

Mother arrested for making her daughter a sex object.....

24-year-old Samantha L. Golt in Milford Delaware, US was arrested on charges of having sex with a dog.
The state police are investigating allegations of bestiality and the claim the incident occurred in the woman’s home where her boyfriend; 25-year-old boyfriend, James P. Crow took photos of the acts, he was also arrested.
Police became aware and started investigation late last month after a concerned citizen gave them a tip.
Police say both have been charged with engaging in a sexual act with an animal and conspiracy.
They were each charged with one count of felony bestiality and felony second-degree conspiracy for the offense, the court papers said, between August 31, 2012 and December 29, 2012.
A preliminary hearing was scheduled for today January 11, in the Kent County Court of Common Pleas in Dover.
A state police spokesman told the Delaware State News that the couple was issued a “no-contact order” with animals, and the Kent County SPCA was notified.
The Delaware State News  citing court documents, said the investigation began with the tip made about possible dog abuse on December 28.
The photographs taken by Crow were collected as evidence, and police used a Delaware Justice Information System Web Portal photo to identify Golt as the woman having sex with the dog.

Slim Burna survives accident!

A Port-Harcourt  based musician, Slim Burna, suffered an auto crash over the weekend.
 The accident happened near Garrison Area, Aba Road, while the singer and his crew (believed to be drunk) were returning from the Play House in the GRA area of Port-Harcourt
Reports say the 24-year-old singer was driving when his brakes failed, which led the car to lose control and get slammed unto a utility pole.
While he managed to avoid running over a woman with sores, his Volkswagen Passat was badly damaged.
Fortunately for the artiste, the airbags deployed successfully and nobody was seriously injured in the crash.
The singer tweeted the news of the accident on Saturday saying “Just had an accident…but thank God I’m alive…”
Slim Burna has been working on his forthcoming debut mixtape entitled “I’m On Fire”, with only two singles out and a definite release date yet to be announced.

“Don Jazzy asked his thugs to beat the life out of me” – Lagos socialite sues producer [PHOTOS]

Lagos socialite Princewill Ojukwu, is accusing Don Jazzy of battery, dehumanization and oppression.
 Stella Dimoko-Korkus of National Encomium reported that  Ojukwu alleges that he had a row with Don Jazzy at his newly opened club POP, which led to the music producer ordering his thugs to beat “the life out of him.” “It’s not about the money,this could happen to anyone,it is abuse of power and needs to be checked before someone is killed all in the name of the other being a celebrity. Don Jazzy stood there pinging on his blackberry as his thugs beat me up, that is the last thing I remember before I fainted…..” he said.

Top Boko Haram member escapes arrest in Benue State

One of the top kingpins of the dreaded lslamist sect, Boko Haram, Ali Jalingo, Sunday evaded arrest in Gboko town of Gboko Local Government Area of Benue state when security operatives raided the area in search of him.
It gathered that the invasion, which took place in Gboko South, at about 3:00am yesterday morning was accompanied by fire exchange from the operatives and some heavily armed gunmen.
The Benue State Police Command disclosed that it was a military team from Abuja, including soldiers and men of the State Security Service (SSS) that carried out the operation, saying that the police in Benue were not involved.
Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Daniel Ezeala said: “it was not the police in Benue that carried out the operation. The incident happened in Gboko Benue State but it was the military and the state security service in Abuja that carried it out. And so we (Benue police command) cannot give the details of the incident and I cannot tell you anything more than that.”
However, it was learnt that Jalingo had rented an apartment belonging to a man identified as ‘Dan Tsoho’ behind an Islamic primary school in the community.
Jalingo, a native of Niger Republic who was declared wanted in connection with various bombings in Borno and other parts of Northern Nigeria was alleged to have been in Gboko town for some time now.
According to an eyewitness, who simply gave his name as Mohammed, “There were gunshots around Gboko South in the early hours of Sunday, precisely 3am. People thought it was thieves on rampage. But as the day broke, a source from that part of the town told our correspondent that soldiers were after a suspected Boko Haram agent, Ali Jalingo.”
“This evening, at about 6pm, bulldozers were sited at the vicinity doing their job. Five minutes later, the house was reduced to rubbles. Some residents were said to have deserted the area while sighting the presence of heavily armed security personnel”, hes said

27-year-old man gives daughter suicide note and hangs himself in Ibadan

There was pandemonium at Idi Oro,  Ona Ara Local Government Area of Oyo State, on Saturday when a 27-year-old man, Kasim Adeniran, committed suicide.
The deceased, who was the ‘Oluwo Ogboni’ of Egbeda, Ibadan, was found hanging on the ceiling of his father’s house.
Residents of the area said the father of four was last seen on Friday night.
His first child, Anifa, 10, broke the news of her father’s death to the residents. She reportedly told the neighbours that she saw her father with a rope the previous night.
She added that her father had on Friday night given his telephone and a suicide note to her.
According to Anifa, her father told her that he planned to do something early the next morning.
It was learnt that Kasim and his first wife, Modinat, had a fight recently. She was said to have left the house for some weeks but later returned.
The note which he left with his daughter was taken away by the police from Akanran Police Station.
Our correspondent learnt that the suicide note indicated that the deceased had financial and marital challenges.
The policemen were prevented from taking Kasim’s corpse awayas some family members said some rituals must be performed on it.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, Oyo State Command, Mr. Ayodele Lanade, said he did not have any information on the matter.

Babcock University set to conduct drug test on students

Babcock University will conduct drug test on all students as they resume the second semester of the 2012/13 academic year. The test will part of the registration for the semester and it will be conducted on all students (male & female).
It was reported that lots of students tested positive to drugs such as marijuana & codiene last semester. Such students faced a 1 year suspension from the school. Drug test is now part of the school registration. It is not clear what the punishment for testing positive will be this time.
Rumours on the internet suggest virginity & pregnancy test will be conducted but 36NG sources said it is false.

It’s not been a good week for Balotelli after he was pictured at the centre of a training ground fracas with his Manchester City manager, Roberto Mancini, on Thursday.
The City boss was reportedly forced to intervene after the footballer made a ‘horrendous’ tackle on fellow player Scott Sinclair.
Balotelli has enjoyed romantic liaisons with the likes of former hooker Jenny Thompson, glamour model Holly Henderson and reality star Khloe Evans in the past.
The star recently hit headlines once again after former underwear model Raffealla Fico, who gave birth to the former couple’s baby daughter Pia in December, accused him of not being interested in their child.

Not too long ago, Karen Igho was slapped ruthlessly by a security guard at a smirnoff party in Lekki, Lagos. After the event, news was everywhere that she sued smirnoff for an amount of 50million for damages  the slap had caused her, probably she had a second thought and allowed Christ in her rule.
